HR Team Leader Transactional Processes sought by our West Midlands based public sector client for an initial 3 month contract.

As HR Team Leader with a responsibility for Payroll you will be responsible for supervising and allocation staff within the transactional HR team. This is a high profile role where you will have responsibility for meeting performance standards for the HR payroll team.

You will oversee the day to day scheduling and allocation of tasks. As HR Team Leader you will be expected to identify and ensure delivery of training and team development to build a strong customer focussed team. You will ensure that the relevant resources, systems and policies are effectively managed and continuously improved.

You will be expected to have current knowledge of local and national developments surrounding HR transactional policies and processes. You will have responsibility for delivery across the Schools sector.

To be successful as an HR team Leader you will have previous experience of working within a HR and Payroll transactional service. You may also have broader experience across other specialist areas such as Resourcing or Pensions.

You will be an experienced line manager, have well-grounded knowledge of current employment legislation and experience, you will understand freedom of information and data protection principles and ideally council specific procedures and condition of service. This is a unionised environment therefore experience of working in a similar environment would be an advantage.

You may also be a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel and Development or in the process of applying for membership or hold a relevant degree.

You will be highly numerate, have strong verbal reasoning, technology and communications skills. You will be well organised, comfortable working in a pressured work environment and have strong customer focus driven by a desire to complete all tasks to time and quality.
