HR AND RELOCATION COORDINATOR - FTC (21 MONTHS)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The UK's Leading Engineering organisation are seeking a HR and Relocation Coordinator on a fixed term basis for 21 months for this fantastic opportunity to support the business unit in the transition and mobilisation of a current contract to a future contract site. Working as part of the HR team you will ensure that the HR requirements for the new contract exceed service deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Relocation

- Support employees on relocation queries, acting as the point of contact.
- Assisting the HR Team to produce a useful guide for future relocations.
- Point of contact for any temporary relocation to the current site prior to service commencement date.

Recruitment

- Build relationships with recruiting/line managers and local HR to develop an understanding of business operations, requirements and strategic plans.
- Working with the line managers, build a comprehensive job profile portfolio.
- Work with the Company's preferred supplier in regards to the phased recruitment of employees to be based at future contract site.
- Collate information for internal and external advertisements.
- Support the operational leads and recruitment managers on the interview and selection framework.
- Produce contracts of employment and coordinate all new employee administration, including liaising with the Security Coordinator to obtain the appropriate clearance.
- Manage the induction programme, carry out the HR element.

Reward

- To provide advice and guidance to employees and management regarding terms and conditions.
- Liaise with the local HR Team to ensure that employee's benefits both contractual and flexible are implemented.

Employee Relations

- Advise managers on employee relations and current employment legislation
- Work as part of the HR Team to ensure that full adherence to the consultation programme is met, including conducting one to one consultations with current workforce in relations to relocation and any future organisational structure.
- Attend the Trade Union meeting where directed.
- To work closely with colleagues within the HR Team, assessing priorities and assisting through teamwork in the seamless delivery of HR tasks to ensure continuity of service delivery.

HR Planning

- To provide regular HR reporting on key topics such as employee turnover, recruitment updates and employee relations issues.
- Attend management meetings to represent HR

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Qualification and Experience:

- CIPD qualification
- Significant experience of operating at an HR Advisor level
- Experience of working on a complex change and relocation programme across multiple sites.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Technical

- Possess a good understanding of employment legislation (including tax liability)
- Solid experience of managing a complex recruitment process from start to finish.
- Experience of working in a Government Services, Defence or Security sector is desirable
- Experience of working with trade unions desirable
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages as well as experience of HR systems
- Experience of working in a commercial environment
- Project Management experience

Other Skills and Requirements:

- Possession of a current full driving licence
- Ability to gain credibility with colleagues at all levels and influence discussions with managers in a professional manner
- Ability to manage a broad range of concurrent activities and initiatives
- Good verbal and written communication skills

You will be required to obtain and maintain MOD Security clearance
