RECRUITER OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for someone to source, screen and interview candidates based on company staffing requirements with emphasis on reviewing resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.

OVERVIEW

- Work closely with other members of the HR team to determine and stay abreast of hiring needs.
- Work in conjunction with hiring managers to create and communicate job offers in a timely manner while staying within the guidelines of the compensation policy.
- Maintain information on all candidates and hires in company Applicant Tracking System (VE) and ensure compliance with hiring policies and applicant management.
- Advance and promote the brand while ensuring that candidates understand the company culture and values.
- Establish and maintain solid working relationships with assigned business units.
- Make recommendations on various sourcing and attraction opportunities including website use, social media, college recruitment, community programs, hardcopy advertising etc.
- Verify that employment references, criminal checks and educations checks are complete and acceptable.
- Create and foster relationships with colleges, networking communities and diverse professional organizations to attract diverse candidates and to maintain a viable pipeline of candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline required
- Minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience with focus on full life cycle recruitment
- Demonstrated experience with Internet recruiting techniques and familiarity with applicant management database systems
- Strong sourcing, screening and interviewing skills with experience using behavioral interviewing techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgent deadlines
- Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Good working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- HRIS and/or recruitment management system preferred
- Self-motivation and independent problem solver with the ability to effectively participate in a team atmosphere
- Valid NYS driver's license and acceptable driving history in order to attend job fairs, etc.
