HR POLICY OFFICER
LOCAL AUTHORITY - 15 MONTHS
HERTFORDSHIRE - SALARY £32,000 per annum

I am currently assisting a Local Authority within the Hertfordshire area and assisting them with the appointment of an experienced HR Officer for a period of 15 months.

The HR Officer will work as a professional member of the Policy Development and Business Partnering team, to take responsibility of researching, writing and publicising the Council's employment policies, ensuring that the policies are up to date and comply with employment legislation.

Working alongside colleagues within the team you will undertake additional HR work more specifically relating to employee relations offering advice to managers and managing a small employee relations caseload, advising of formal hearings and appeals and participate in job evaluation panels and undertaking HR Project Work as required.

The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of employment law, and of how this applies in practice, experience of researching and writing a range of employment policies including consulting with trade unions and other stakeholders on policy development.
