AIRCOM International is an independent provider of network management tools and services. The market leader in the provision and deployment of network engineering tools, AIRCOM products are in use across 135+ countries by over half the world's mobile operators.

This Fixed Term position will be covering Maternity Leave. The HR Officer will be responsible for providing a professional generalist HR service to the UK office and to provide support to the Global Head of HR for various HR tasks and projects.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of 2 years proven generalist HR experience at Officer level
- CIPD qualification
- Knowledge of HR systems and PC Literate
- Experience in the application of work permits
- Good knowledge of payroll processing
- Sound knowledge of UK Employment Law
- To work with managers and directors and to seek advice from lawyers where approved and necessary.
- Effective interview techniques with a sound knowledge of Recruitment and Selection processing
- Pro-active, pragmatic
- Team player
- Excellent communication and business writing skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

To provide an advisory service to employees and Line Managers in dealing with procedural and personal enquiries/problems eg:

- Recruitment & Selection
- Employment legislation
- ER
- Leavers
- Sickness Absence
- Maternity, Paternity and Parental Leave
- Disciplinary and Grievance

Recruitment:

To oversee the administration of recruitment to be carried out by the HR team, including:

- The recruitment of personnel at all levels within the UK office.
- Ensuring every angle is covered to ensure a good standard of applications
- Processing of work permits when offers have been made assisted by the HR Coordinator.
- Checking references received to ensure they are satisfactory and check visa status of applicants ensuring they are eligible to work in the UK.
- To review, check and sign offers of employment.

Payroll:

- Management of Payroll for the UK office and input of amendments, ensuring appropriate authorisation is maintained for any amendments to payroll. Liaison with ADP Payroll bureau to ensure the smooth running of the payroll process.
- Responsibility for providing a monthly schedule of payroll amendments to the Payroll Bureau for joiners, leavers, promotions etc, and ensure all relevant Year End administration is completed.
- Completion of Inland Revenue P35 employer's annual return.
- P11ds to be completed to Inland Revenue for Benefits provided to employees - annually.
- Check payroll amendments on a monthly basis

General HR:

- Responsibility for the provision of data as required for planning.
- Creating a job analysis by liaising with the relevant manager hiring for the role. To look at appropriate and best methods of recruitment for a particular position.
- Carrying out an HR induction, in the absence of the HR Coordinator, for new joiners on their first day of employment.
- Conducting exit interviews up to Management level.
- Providing HR input to Line Managers to identify training and development needs.
- Liaising with the HR Coordinator to oversee the arrangement of courses and to ensure training received is recorded the HR database system. To ensure all training is carried out within budgets provided by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Responsibility for maintaining up-to-date and accurate information on the HR section of the Intranet.
- Processing redundancies and other terminations (in conjunction with the relevant Directors).
- Coordinating the administration of Company benefits.
- Assisting with the co-ordination and processing of salary reviews, bonuses and promotions.
- Assisting the European HR Manager in the Annual Appraisal process to ensure that each process is completed to timetable given.
- Manage, develop, coach and motivate the HR Coordinator to meet business needs
- Representing Human Resources for ISO 9001 and advising of any changes/forthcoming audits.
- Participation in improving processes, systems and reporting to support the business.
- Updating and devising policies and procedures in line with employment legislative changes.
- Conducting disciplinary hearings and advising managers on best practice.
- Assisting with ad hoc projects as required.
