A temporary HR Manager role has become available within the Munitions business to cover a period of maternity leave. The position will report to the Head of HR, Munitions and will be responsible for the delivery of HR service into the Engineering functional as well as leading on specific HR projects. This role will involve a reasonable amount of travel to the other Munitions sites across the UK but will be based out of the Glascoed site.

AS A HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INVOLVE:

- Delivery of an effective HR service into the Engineering, Programmes & Business Management function
- Challenging, coaching and facilitating line managers on ER related issues such as discipline, grievance and sickness
- Supporting line manager in helping to develop employees and improve performance in their functions
- Provide on-site support on a monthly basis at Bishopton and maintain regular remote communications with the Ridsdale Management team
- Lead on L includes control of spend and representation at corporate steering groups

Successful delivery of the following key projects:

- Embedding the Munitions Early Career Development Framework - establish stonger links with BAME schools and colleges to improve the diversity of our future talent pipeline and co-ordinate the activities to support improvement in this area and represent Munitions on the ESPG
- Act as the Munitions' lead on the Future HR Services project

AS A HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER YOUR EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS WILL IDEALLY INCLUDE:

- Previous experience in a multi disciplined HR role or able to demonstrate at least 3 years HR experience
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent
- CIPD qualified would be a strong advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
- A self-starter who is proactive and can set and achieve goals
- Able to be firm, diplomatic and have a fair approach
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload

The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen and have the ability to operate at both an operational and strategic level.
