One of our clients, an international company in the pharmaceutical industry currently requires a HR Manager

Start: 17/8/2015

Length: min. 6 months (extendable)

Location: South of Brussels

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

Partner with the business to deliver high quality, standardized HR interventions across a range of HR activities in order to enable line managers and employees to add maximum value to the business and achieve the business strategies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for providing HR Manager support, across all HR activities, to all levels of employees and line managers in a dedicated business in Belgium

* Partner with line managers to deliver key, high quality, standardised HR processes/interventions & specific solutions aligned with the HR and the business strategy

* Key partner for recruitment, grading, performance management & change management activities below the Leadership Team

* Provide guidance to line managers around employee relations issues to ensure that the client is not exposed to legal challenges resulting in costs and potential damage to the reputation

* Be the contact point for solving individual cases with business and trade unions

* Participate to monthly meeting with trade unions

* Diagnose & solve complex issues/queries across a wide range of HR subjects, not managed by the Transactional Shared Services

* Key delivery channel for initiatives developed by the HR Centres of Excellence

* Coaching and development of line managers around HR policies and processes

* Delivery of medium/large scale project activities across a wide range of HR subjects within their dedicated business, across multiple businesses or across the integrated Vaccines business

* Largely involved in processes/projects HRBL are accountable for (ex: reorganization, downsizing, change management, etc.)

* Drive standardisation across and within business units in order to simplify HR service delivery

PREREQUISITES

Education: University degree (Psychology, Legal or HR)

Knowledge:

- Proven expertise in employee relations with sound understanding of employment law
- Ability to effectively coach employees and managers at all levels of the organization

Experience:

- Solid experience in HR or relevant Business experience
- Experience of leading and delivering change

- High level of empathy, flexibility, discretion & credibility
- Influencing skills
- Experience of working in a Matrix environment
- Fluent in English & French

Interaction:

- Must have the credibility to influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization of the business s/he is accountable for
- Key link to communicate & implement strategies, processes, ways of working deployed in the different HR CoE
- Key contact in the field for the major HR questions or issues from the employees, line managers or trade unions
- Key link with the HR Services being a requester of transactional actions and being an essential source of feedback to improve the HR Services ways of working
- Lead internal communication & engagement activities to increase employee morale & foster a positive employee relations climate
- Facilitator to create alignment across the different businesses
