HR MANAGER

Highest level of security clearance required - BPSS (DBS) - Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a DBS)

Our public sector client requires a HR Manager to join their team in London for an initial contract of 6 month to lead and direct the Human Resource team to deliver a comprehensive service to the organisation.

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES:

- Provide HR insight and input into the development of business strategy, including responsibility for the delivery of key HR workstreams, in line with operational business needs
- The HR Manager will translate business goals into prioritised HR requirements and ensure the effective delivery of HR services throughout the function
- Support managers in enhancing business performance through improving the performance, capability and motivation of their people

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Operational HR experience in a relevant environment, understanding the sector in which the organisation operates and the market factors that impact performance, including customers, competitors, etc.
- Capability to provide professional HR advice and assistance to line managers through up- to- date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to argue persuasively and influence others. o Ability to handle difficult situations involving employee relationships and to solve problems in creative, practical ways
- Know-how to design, develop and roll out change management programmes, and the factors that affect their success including understanding how cultures are created, how they evolve over time and how to intervene to shape them
