HR Lead (Defence)

Hr Lead required for Defence client in London, 6 months contract, SC clearance to be achieved

The HR lead will need to work within client HR functions across Defence to improve how communications posts are staffed and pave the way for a higher percentage of suitably qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP) in posts. They will also develop and deliver coherent and comprehensive HR components of the change agenda.

The post holder will:
Develop the HR requirements for the DCCP; Advise on the organisation design of the communications organisations across the constituent parts of Defence, addressing cultural change across existing teams; Develop job roles in the new environment; Develop a skills strategy for the individuals and teams consistent with the professionalisation of the Defence communication cadre; Produce job descriptions/TORs for the new organisation (which will include military staff) which are consistent and coherent with the aims and structure of the new organisations; Manage and administer the post filling exercise; Coordinate and develop training and engagement plans and events for staff in the new structure; Deliver and close the project while complying with Departmental HR policy rules and guidance.

Candidates will hold relevant professional HR qualifications (or comparable professional experience) and must demonstrate a strong track record of delivering significant HR change programmes affecting professional staff. Previous experience of working within a Defence environment is desirable.
Clearance to SC level must be achieved for this post.
