HR GENERALIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Mateo, CA

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- As directed by HR Business Partners, provides day-to-day performance management guidance to business leaders (coaching, counseling and career development) .
- Reference policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistent and accurate responses to employees.
- Identify and address any unstated needs through conversations and employee interactions.
- Use sound judgment and intuition to identify and escalate potentially litigious or problematic issues.
- Three (3+) years previous experience and proven results within HR in a fast paced, technicalPHR a plus

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Identify and escalate inconsistent and incongruent processes, policies, and practices.
- Provide input, insight, and feedback relative to the development and implementation of resource materials, tools, and shared service practices.
- Perform HR administration transactions in respective applications as appropriate, within service level agreements with a high degree of accuracy and adherence to written procedures.
- Perform monitoring procedures of on-boarding and off-boarding processes to maintain compliance, practices, and data integrity.
- Present and provide anecdotal feedback and perspective to the Operational Effectiveness Team to shape objectives and enhancements.
- Assist in driving analytics, project planning and organization in the following areas: organizational change management, workforce planning, organization planning and talent planning.
- Analyzes trends and metrics, and collaborates with HR functional experts to develop solutions, make recommendations to policies and develop programs.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning and other talent development and retention activities in alignment with corporate models.
- Assist HR Business Partners in rolling out corporate-wide HR initiatives to client groups.
- Partner with the ER Manager to assist in resolving complex employee relations issues through conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- May help facilitate HR sessions with the business units intending to solve for potential challenges or bring awareness to opportunities.
- Innovative and creative approach to problem solving, planning and implementation
- Ability to create, foster and grow business relationships with management and team members
- Ability to act independently and quickly resolve problems and make decisions
- Solid organizational skills, including the ability to accomplish demanding timeline objectives, multi-task on assignments and be comfortable with change and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- A generalist approach to the HR function working across different disciplines such as talent acquisition, performance management, compensation management, and talent management & organization development.
- Principles and practices of human resources management
- State and federal labor laws and regulations
- MS Office, including Excel & HR Systems
- Excellent communication, engagement, and diplomacy skills in dealing with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
