My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, are looking to recruit a HR Consultant to join their Manufacturing division on a long-term contract basis in Solihull.

Position Description:

Acting as a HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing HR support to a Manufacturing customer group. This role will allow you to have a positive impact on the Business and work in partnership with your key customers to drive Employee Relations forward.

Skills Required:

Support managers in developing a culture, which supports and embodies the blue print for lasting success
Support the transformation of the wider HR function and ensure customers are fully supported through this period
Build strong, strategic relationships with stakeholders and customers to understand their requirements and support the achievement of their goals
Understand how engaged our employees are and develop robust plans to drive engagement and effective performance within the workplace
Support the development of organisational capability, delivering global growth, internationalisation and change:
Operational manpower planning
Site transition and cessation
Case Management of restricted workers, casual and long term absentees, disciplinary and grievance procedures and performance management
Support the delivery of HR process improvement
Build people capability through attracting, sourcing, developing and retaining competent and committed people that deliver business excellence:
Support Recruitment activities in the local area, including Group Leaders and semi-skilled roles
Support talent and performance management initiatives
Embed the Learning and Development strategy to ensure our employees `Take The Excellence Further'
Implement local area training plans

Skills Preferred:

Excellent communication skills both spoken and written
Able to negotiate and influence at a management level within the organisation
Knowledge and application of key HR practices such as disciplinary, grievances, absence management and recruitment
Strong ability to organise self to ensure prioritisation of workload in order to meet tight deadlines
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, working with a proactive approach to change
Experience of working in stand-alone HR role with large customer group
Experience of managing key activities such as absence management, disciplinary, grivances and recruitment
Experience of managing a large and diverse customer group
Degree qualified/CIPD either qualified or working towards qualification

Experience Required:

Manufacturing Customer Groups
Trade Union
HR Colleagues in areas such as nationwide Manufacturing HR team, Employee Relations Hub, HRCO, Occupational Health, Payroll, Centres of Excellence and Supplier HR Business Partners.
Immediate HR team
Manpower planning team
Manpower - the agency

Experience Preferred:

Manufacturing/distribution experience dealing with a client group of circa 500 employees

Education Required:

CIPD qualified
