HR CONSULTANT NEEDED IN WAYZATA - NO INTERVIEW NEEDED

HR Consultant
Tentative Start Date: 1/19/15 Duration: 6 months, possible 6 month extension

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for independently advising and consulting BU/Function HR and management regarding Global Mobility Processes.. This position requires a desire to work with various levels of employees and management, along with various cultures. Utilizes global mobility expertise to interpret and administer policy and programs for a portfolio of global mobility assignments (eg short/long term international assignments, domestic relocation, and/or commuters) within a region. This includes process delivery, data research and analysis, tools and compliance as well as client/vendor interaction.

Responsibilities:
-Independently advises and consults with BU/Function HR and management regarding Global Mobility processes and policies within a complex region. Assesses individual assignment requirements providing guidance to the appropriate compensation template. Documents arrangements in assignment letter and implements policy variance process when appropriate. Organizes the delivery of global mobility services to a portfolio of new and ongoing global mobility assignments within a region which may include:

Entering data into and modifying template global mobility documents, which may require significant interpretation of global mobility policies and procedures.
Independently conducting assignee briefings to review compensation and benefit packages.
Oversee and monitor vendors and internal/external consultants in order to facilitate relocation, tax, immigration and other global mobility services.
-Assist tax professionals to prepare and communicate assignment cost projections. In a complex region works closely with tax and benefit teammates to ensure expatriate employees have the support needed while on assignment.
-Conducts international assignment orientation session providing information on related policies, benefits and pay package calculations. May provide information/support to family members as requested.
-Maintains contact with expatriate during assignment and oversees repatriation process. Monitors pay package changes and ensures effective communications with assignee.
-Organizes and coordinates logistics associated with the assignment; actual relocation, immigration requirements, home finding, payroll sign-up/transfer etc. Work with external vendors on initiating destination services, language lessons, education consultations, household goods shipments, host country housing search and other relocation activities. This also includes effective communication with vendors and employees. Monitor vendor issues and resolution on Matrix and participate in vendor management calls.
-Creates employee file in expatriate software systems and ensures effective transfer to maintain status.

Skills/experience:
5 years of professional related experience, preferably in an HR capacity,
1-2 years of global mobility or international relocation experience as a consultant, coordinator or relocation counselor.
Candidate must learn quickly, has strong communication skills both writtenAbility to communicate effectively with a wide range of people; cross cultural communication skills and empathy desirable.
Ability to be flexible in a changing and ambiguous environment; Ability to interface effectively within a global team environment and partner with multiple business units and functions
Strong personal initiative and ability to explore and work with limited supervision
Demonstrated track record in promoting an inclusive environment and seeking ways to integrate differences.

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, experience working with Sharepoint, Access databases, and Global Advantage (global mobility software tool), PeopleSoft, and SAP.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance/Accounting, Business, or related field
- Certification: PHR certification or equivalent certification.
