HR Compensation/Benefits Analyst

My client is currently looking to recruit a highly accomplished HR (Compensation/Benefits) Analyst for an 3 month contracts initially, Chester based.

You will have the opportunity to work for a market leader and one of the UK's most recognised and established brands within the banking/Credit Cards domain.

Role:
The role will include delivery of annual global programmes such as Total Compensation Planning, Year End Incentive decisioning and the design of Direct Drive incentive programmes. In addition the role involves the provision of Compensation consultation to business areas within UK Card to ensure that compensation programmes support the key business objectives.

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Primary responsibility for the provision of compensation support to assigned business areas for all compensation matters.
* Ensure flawless execution and delivery of core compensation processes to the client groups.
* Compensation consultation in support of business initiatives including implementation of new functions, organisational re-design and role re-definition.
* External market benchmarking of UK Card roles to compensation market surveys.
* Role profiling to ensure job codes and associated compensation are appropriate to individual/group responsibilities.
* Ensure that compensation governance and regulatory processes are followed.
* Project management of ad-hoc compensation initiatives.
* Ensure that financial accruals are adequate for UK Card compensation programmes
* Engagement with extended HR colleagues including UK Card HR Managers, Staffing, Line of Business & EMEA Compensation partners and Comp Service delivery to deliver objectives as required.

Required Skills:
* Proven analytical skills and an ability to interpret and use numerical data to drive decisions and to exercise sound judgement.
* Excellent interpersonal, communications, and organisational skills combined with ability to plan, organise and carry out multiple project assignments.
* Proven ability to engage a wide variety of audiences in a collaborative, results-oriented manner where negotiation and facilitation skills may also be required.
* Demonstrated success in consulting across functional areas.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work streams at one time and to and meet tight and changing deadlines.
* Able to work independently and as a part of multiple teams, both across the region and globally.
* Experience in working with senior leaders and ability to work across a heavily-matrixed environment.
* An understanding of the UK Card business and its respective functions and objectives.

Preferred Skills:
* Previous HR/business client relationship/consultancy experience.
