POSITION DESCRIPTION:

SunGard Financial Systems provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry. The primary purpose of these systems is to automate the many detailed processes associated with trading, managing investment portfolios and accounting for investment assets. These solutions address the processing requirements of a broad range of users within financial services, including asset managers, traders, custodians, compliance officers, treasurers, insurers, risk managers, hedge fund managers, plan administrators and clearing agents. In addition, we also provide professional services that focus on application implementation and integration of these solutions and on custom software development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior management in the designated business areas, promoting good HR practices.
- Work alongside business leaders to develop effective people and talent strategies in order to achieve business goals
- Proactively identify, initiate and lead projects to drive employee engagement, retention and performance.
- Partner and coach line managers on employee relations issues
- Provide information, advice and guidance to employees on company policies, procedures and benefits.
- Work with the business on performance management, mobility, salary review and bonus plan processes, deliver training as required.
- Partner with business leaders on implementing change through organisational restructures
- Proactively work with colleagues in the HR community across Europe to develop and drive HR initiatives, working on specific projects as required.
- Assist with due diligence for potential acquisitions and the integration of employees into SunGard following acquisitions
- Work closely with the EMEA HR team on Pan-European HR initiatives.
- Manage a team of three HRBP's

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Extensive HR generalist experience in a fast moving, dynamic environment
- Senior employee relations experience including negotiations
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices with a solid track record in managing/advising on sensitive legal issues as well as considering the impact of new legislation and devising new HR policies and procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills - credible at senior level and able to challenge the status quo
- Experienced People Manager with proven track record in leading, coaching and developing direct reports
- Manage change effectively within team through regular, effective and timely communication.
- Strong user skills of HR systems and Microsoft office programs
- Proven experience at HR Manager level
- Ability to work under pressure and comfortable with ambiguity
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and increasingly responsible generalist experience ideally from technology businesses or financial services.
