WANTED: HR EMPLOYEE RELATIONS EXPERTISE - ER STATEGY, POLICY, IMPLEMENTATION, COACHING AND TRAINING - 6 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 40K

Our client is one of the U.K.'s largest and most profitable Debt Collection Agencies. With 40 years trading history and over 300 staff they are one of the Country's largest litigators and operate one of the best run doorstep operations in the UK with a dedicated financial difficulties team of over 30 staff.

A new management team has been established to transform and refocus the organisation in order to become the UK's number one contingent debt collection business in the next three years. With such rapid growth planned the HR team require an experienced HR/ER professional who proven experience in designing and implementing a corporate ER strategy, developing policies and initiatives in line with the wider HR and Employee Relations and business strategy.

The role

- Acting as a point of technical referral for the HR team you will provide expert guidance and support on a range of ER issues ensuring compliance with legislation and issues around best practise and HR policy:- including disciplinary and capability processes, grievances, contractual changes/issues, etc.
- To support the management of organisational changes resulting in complex employee relations activities, including TUPE transfers, restructures and redundancy exercises, etc.,
- To manage litigious ER cases and tribunal claims, liaising with legal partners accordingly and ensuring costs are controlled
- To review new legislation and case law, reviewing & updating HR Policies and facilitating training accordingly
- To support the development of the HR Team and management capability in best practise, ER focused, human resource management - designing/facilitating training as needed
- To produce/co-ordinate the provision of key reports to measure the effectiveness of ER strategies and operational practise
- To build and maintain strong working partnerships across HR, the business as appropriate and with key suppliers (ie the company's legal team)

The ideal candidate will be willing to consider a minimum 6 month fixed term contract and make a significant contribution to implementing ER strategy and change. A comprehensive and up to date working knowledge of UK employment legislation, case law, HR policies, procedures and best practise is essential and an in-depth knowledge of TUPE, collective consultation obligations, use of compromise agreements and tribunal practises
