HR Business Partner

Our client is looking to appoint a HR Business Partner to work with the supported business leadership team, under the direction of the Lead/Senior HR Business Partner to deliver the business aligned People Plan/HR Strategy and provide coaching and support to members of the supported leadership team.

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for the following Key Accountabilities:

1. Working closely with the supported business, to implement and deliver the HR Strategy/People Plan to include; talent, succession planning and change management, in order to support the delivery of business objectives and drive a high performance culture.
2. Work closely and building strong relationships with members of the supported business senior leadership team and other relevant stakeholders. Coach, advise and challenge, where appropriate, business leaders on short and medium term HR issues as required.
3. Provide operational HR support on (for example) organisation change, senior appointments, salary and bonus, graduate or apprentice programmes.
4. Successfully deliver client responsive, cost effective and integrated people solutions that address key business objectives, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders.
5. Reinforce the ownership of people management by the business and line managers and support the HR delivery model.
6. Work with the broader HR function, including Centres of expertise, HR Direct and HR shared services teams to provide the best solutions for the business.
7. Work with appropriate Union representatives to support the business in delivering business solutions.
8. Liaise with HR Business Partners in other areas of the business in order to work collaboratively on cross business/geographical issues.

Additional Information
The person needs to be a very robust and organised one at HRBP level. They will be asked to get involved with some of our existing, long -running cases, in addition to working outside the current model by sitting in with managers to make sure we complete grievances, disciplinary, sick absence cases properly.
We will ask that the successful candidate coaches these managers on their behaviours to ensure that they adopt behaviours that pull us back into line with the HR model.
The resource is temporary and for an initial period of three months though it could run for up to six. We require an experienced/seasoned individual who can pick up our processes quickly and have the confidence to challenge our line managers so that the work gets delivered.
They will be supported by the Senior HRBP who covers the whole of Thames Valley so will have someone to call on regarding the subtleties of our systems and processes.
One of the key things that this candidate will need is a 'can do' attitude towards getting things done.
