Thales is embarking on significant growth plans focusing on capitalisation of new business opportunities within all domains; so it is a very unique time to be part of this robust organisation and gain experience of supporting this dynamic workforce.

This role is for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join the C4ISR, Maritime and Security function on a 3 month fixed term contract with an immediate start. This business domain supplies products and services to both the defence and civil markets.

The role of the HR Business Partner within Thales is to play a very active role in working with the business leads in mapping out talent planning activities and supporting Culture and Communications programme.

This fixed term contract will provide you with the unique opportunity to continue to expand on your experience within a matrix organisation and could lead to further opportunities and projects elsewhere in the organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS FOR THE HRBP:

- Support client groups with HR professional knowledge and expertise, including employee relations, resourcing, change management and professional and organisational development in line with Company policies and site practices
- Manage and support the Culture and Communications programme issues effectively within relevant business/function areas
- Coach and support managers in their awareness of people related issues, particularly when making business decisions, and increase their competence and confidence when dealing with such
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and Company HR requirements, providing advice and monitoring success
- Provide support and guidance in relation to any issues that could potentially impact on the business from a people and business perspective
- Contribute to the achievement of a consistent and high quality management of HR issues, both individually and as part of the HR team on the Crawley site
- Manage when required consultation on restructuring, redeployment and redundancies appropriately and within statutory law consulting with employee representative bodies as appropriate.

Skills, experience & qualifications required:
Essential

- Solid experience of supporting a direct business unit as a HR Partner/expert
- Up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Proven organisational and planning skills
- Experienced user of HR information Systems
- Experience of leading or having significant input into HR projects

Desirable

- Qualified or studying towards membership of CIPD Diploma in Human Resource Management (or equivalent)
- Prior experience of working in a matrix organisation
- A solid appreciation for operational HR activities and their impacts on the wider commercial/strategic plans of the business
