HR Business Improvement Manager

Our client are looking to recruit an interim HR Business Improvement Team Manager on an initial 4 month contract, to develop core HR systems and processes (including IT) to ensure they are fit for purpose in supporting the client's Vision and Mission. The role will be based in Edinburgh and paying up to £195 per day Ltd rate. Some travel to other sites other than the usual place of work as well as attendance at national meetings may be required.

Major Tasks
*Manage a team with responsibility for delivery and maintenance of core HR IT systems and Management Information reporting eg core e-hr system, online recruitment, payroll, travel and subsistence claims and recording of hours/rostering
*Review all existing and proposed systems and processes. Consider cost implications, service delivery and impact on others as part of this process. Produce well-presented and evidence based business cases to justify change
*Work closely with stakeholders to gain support for proposals
*Deliver projects on time and to budget. Manage the change process including risks
*Line management responsibilities of the Business Improvement Team (4 people)

Main Activities
*Scoping work, building business case, financial planning and management, people management, project delivery, customer service

Essential Experience
*Experience of project delivery
*Experience of developing business cases including costings for major projects
*Experience of managing a team working to tight deadlines

Desirable Experience
*Experience of public sector procurement
*Experience of working with e-hr system or experience of Agresso/Unit 4 products

Knowledge
*HR systems - Ehr, payroll, online recruitment etc
*Project Management

Skills
*Excellent analytical skills including financial management
*Ability to plan, implement, track and monitor progress
*Ability to work with a range of stakeholders who sometimes will have different goals
*Excellent communication skills (written, oral and good presentation skills)
