Role Synopsis

HR analytics is generating a huge amount of enthusiasm and focus in the corporate environment. The emphasis of the role will be on innovating and expanding the HR analytics offering to embed fact based decision making and drive business focused insight. The role would working with multiple information sets across all stages of the employee life cycle including Talent, Learning, Resourcing and Engagement amongst others. The role will be responsible for reviewing business problems and delivering insight to drive effective decision making.

Collaborating with internal HR teams the role will ensure that projects are delivered to agreed requirements, standards and within agreed timescales based on business requests.

Global People Data operates within HR Finance and has become a highly visible organisation, having undergone a journey to become the single source of people data. More recently GPD has been driving deep dive and statistical analysis to support the HR MI offering. This role is critical to moving this agenda forward

Job Responsibilities
Innovate and build on the in flight work to create an analytics offering for HR within the company

To be accountable for business driven analytics output (Visualisations, statistics and presentations) to the HR community ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

To understand GPD reporting team standards, eg report development processes, reporting catalogue, metric definitions, training materials, etc., and to work within these standards to ensure consistent and high quality delivery of outputs

Essential Qualifications and Criteria

. Statistical, Mathematics or Data Science background
. Previous experience delivering MI and insight gained in a global organisation
. Working with large data sets in service of analytic insights to solve business problems
. Proven ability to analyse data and provide clear visualisation and recommendations
. Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and show the level of motivation required to work proactively
. Rigorous attention to detail
. Ability to find innovative solutions to meet business requirements
. Ability to interpret and communicate complex findings in a simple a concise manner
. Knowledge of SPSS or other statistical package

Desirable Qualifications and Criteria

. Proven experience of SAP Business Objects, or similar reporting and visualisation tools
. Working with Business Information Systems containing HR information
. Oil/Gas/Energy sector experience would be beneficial
. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel including Visual Basic
. Good working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
