RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Under general supervision, the position works closely with HR, COE's and external and other Third Party providers to resolve escalated HR issues.
- Ensure content and resources are kept current in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with the Centers of Excellence (COE's) and external and Third Party providers when necessary.
- Provide business function support in various power delivery settings.
- Provide clerical and some administrative support.
- Utilize PC and Mainframe applications such as Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Time, EERS, and Passport proficiently.
- Develop customized reports provided by integrated systems, including Passport, PeopleSoft, Impromptu, etc, and MS Office applications.
- Use verbal and written skills to present information.
- Analyze, evaluate and resolve complex HR issues.
- Support higher complexity/level transaction processing.
- Calculate severance payments (below executive level) and produce severance packages.
- Support service award and non-cash recognition award programs.
- Support recruiting administration, leave administration, employee relations case management.
- Upload and maintain content on Knowledge base/Portal.
- Track and report metrics, run and distribute reports.

SKILLS
Bachelor's degree and 2 to 5 years HR Generalist or related experience, recruiting and project management experience required. Ability to make independent decisions in the application of HR policies and procedures, strong analytical skills, effective verbal communication skills, effective listening and reading comprehension skills, confident phone presence, strong ability to multi-task, ability to work independently and autonomously, strong ability to grasp information quickly and probe effectively, effective problem solving and follow-through skills, strong computer skills and technical capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment, effective time management skills required. Call center experience and experience working with and contributing to a team preferred. Familiarity with power companies a plus.
