My Public sector client based in Cambridge is currently looking for 2 HR Advisors to join them on 12 month contracts. One role will be a full time requirement and the other will be a part time role (3 days per week).

The roles are needed to provide a comprehensive and professional HR service for line managers and employees within an allocated portfolio to ensure that people management issues are addressed appropriately and in line with corporate strategic objectives and local business imperatives.

Qualifications required:
* 'A' level or equivalent
* Degree level or equivalent (desirable)
* Part of full CIPD qualified or NVQ level 3 in Personnel (desirable)

Skills/experience required:
* Practical experience of working in human resources
* Ability to support managers in dealing with change management, disciplinary, grievance, ill health and redundancy issues
* Sound knowledge of employment legislation
* Understanding of current best practice in HR
* Experience of data management and handling
* Understanding the role of Trade Unions.
* Competent in the use of MS Office packages
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Shows an understanding of customer's needs and takes appropriate action to meet their requirements
* Works steadily, efficiently and dependably
* Is able to work effectively in changing work environments and in the face of conflicting priorities
* Recognises individual responsibility to contribute to the effective working of the team
* Uses own initiative to plan and complete tasks to meet deadlines and targets
* Demonstrates careful attention to detail and ability to check all work for accuracy and quality standards
* Ability to influence managers to consider options and risks
