HR ADVISOR - BARNET PARTNERSHIP, LONDON - 12 MONTH FTC - START ASAP

In 2013, Capita embarked on a new joint venture with the London Borough of Barnet to support the Council in developing solutions and providing services that will bring benefits for council employees, members and residents. The venture aims to save taxpayers an anticipated £126 million pounds over the next 10 years.

To support this endeavour, Capita are looking to recruit three SPECIALIST HR ADVISORS to provide pragmatic and proactive HR support and become Subject Matter Experts in one of three key areas; Employee Relations (ER), Learning & Development (L&D) and Strategyfor example, re-writing Council Policies, writing up future appraisals and providing training in order to hand each policy over to the BAU Operations team.

Supported by a HR Assistant and reporting to the HR Director, candidates must be CIPD qualified or hold a recent relevant Degree with knowledge of current employment law.

We are looking for enthusiastic, talented individuals keen to grow their experience in a busy public sector HR environment. This would be an ideal role for a recent Graduate or someone looking for the next step in their HR career.

- Excellent communication skills; ability to influence key decision-makers
- Quick to learn and apply new skills and knowledge
- Self-motivated with a desire to develop their career
- Very strong written communication skills; able to research, analyse findings and present information clearly and concisely
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and use own initiative
- Team Player, but able to work autonomously
- Flexible, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines

Experience in a commercial HR role would be beneficial, but is not condsidered essential. In addition, an understanding of the workings of the UK's Public Sector would be highly advantageous.
