HR ADVISOR

Our client is currently seeking a HR Advisor to provide support to the Global Mobility Manager and HR Immigration Specialist. This contract role has a 6 month duration and is based in Aldershot.

OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE

- Tracking and monitoring short term business travelers, short term assignments and long term assignments
- Immigration assistance, including issuing Certificates of Sponsorship, tracking and monitoring visa expiry dates
- Issuing and reviewing short term assignment letters
- Provide advice to the business on assignment related issues arising from overseas working
- Advising the business on policy and costs of international assignments.
- Working with HR Corporate Shared Service Centre to ensure HR and payroll systems are accurately reflecting the employee status
- An understanding of UK immigration policy to ensure compliance as an 'A' rated sponsor
- An understanding of the taxation of overseas employees working in the UK to ensure compliance with HMRC

You will be expected to be responsible for overall management of designated international assignments and process implementation and ongoing development.

The role sits within the HR department and there is the opportunity to contribute to wider Reward or general HR projects and activities.

You will advise senior stakeholders including other members of the HR function and IA team ensuring cross-border compliance.

You must be able to push back where necessary and provide ideas and solutions to any issues that may arise.

You will be expected to have previous experience of international assignments and an ability to educate and influence key stakeholders.

You will have excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach to managing workload which will enable you to prioritise work demands.

As the role requires you to liaise with a number of teams across the company you should be a team player preferably with project management skills.
