CONTRACT. DUNDEE. 5 MONTHS +. £151 - £157 PER DAY. MUST BE HR ADVISOR LEVEL TO APPLY!

One of our public sector clients has an urgent requirement for a HR Advisor. You will be involved in the day to day HR experience within a busy environment. You will be advising on recruitment and selection strategies. You will have excellent administration skills with good record keeping and information gathering experience.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL

- Chartered Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development

DESIRABLE

- Chartered Member status of CIPD.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a management/business/organisational development related area.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

- Generalist HR experience within a busy HR environment.
- Provision of advice on recruitment and selection strategies.
- Advising on dealing with disciplinary, grievance and other employee relations matters and handling confidential information.
- Working to deadlines/targets.
- Liaising with, and building credible relations with, a range of managers/professionals to provide support and advice.
- Record keeping and information gathering.
- Project planning and process mapping.
- Developing and delivering management and staff development sessions.
- Researching and benchmarking with other organisations to develop HR policy.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Concise and clear oral and written skills.
- Listening skills.
- Able to forward-plan, organise and prioritise workload.
- Excellent administrative skills, attention to detail and ability to quality assure own work.
- Ability to reflect on performance and plan improvement.
- Stamina and flexibility to 'keep plates spinning' and meet competing deadlines.
- Able to reflect on own practise.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
- Compiling management information and statistics to produce HR Metrics.
- Logical thinking to plan processes.
- Coaching managers to support resolution to employee relations issues.
