My public sector client are keen to take on a HR Advisor for an immediate start. This role will be based in Dorking and will require an experienced HR Advisor, ideally with experience in relocation and extensive knowledge of excel.

Experience:

- Has worked in a Matrix organisation or can demonstrate has an open minded approach with the ability to quickly adapt to the demands of a complex organisation.
- Has worked as an HR Advisor in a role which includes data processing or is an HR Assistant ready to move up and use their HRA skills to develop themselves further.

Interpersonal skills:

- Has ability to quickly forge effective relationships with all levels of staff and contacts, can adapt their style to the 'audience' and has an approachable manner which inspires confidence.
- Is pro-active, takes responsibility for their own actions is quick to learn and shows an open-mind to a new environment.
- Uses their HR knowledge to pick up any issues and alert the HRBP.
- Is a strong team player, willing and able to assist others regardless of the nature of the work they are asked to produce.
- Has an empathetic manner matched with strong influencing skills.
- Uses their influencing skills to ensure that information required from the business is met to deadline without alienating contacts.
- Has the ability to develop a 'coaching' approach with managers.

Technical:

- Has proven through previous experience that they can quickly learn and adapt to a new organisation's processes and systems and is pro-active in finding out what to do.
- Can demonstrate has applied relevant up-to-date knowledge of the law .
- Has proven excel ability, can use excel with confidence, using their HR knowledge and excel skills to input and produce data for reports in an efficient and effective manner using a range of tools.
- Has a clear, grammatical writing style which they can adapt to the needs of the organisation.
- Has the ability to assist with running workshops for staff and managers and be willing to assist in the administration of the workshops as well as the creation of them.
- Is thorough, accurate and able to prioritise and deliver to deadlines while juggling a range of tasks at any one time
- Is confident in dealing face-to-face with people
- Ability to create presentations

Desirable:
- Experience of HR project work
- Experience of working in a team managing a relocation
- Ability to use Excel to a high level; minimum requirement is for someone who has used to medium level (eg creating reports, linking data) and can clearly demonstrate can do this and therefore is able to learn any other areas required.
