I am looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join a global food manufacturing company. You will be providing HR related support where it is needed. The applicant will be joining a team who are challenged to provide the business with outstanding HR expertise and delivery. The team work with a consultancy approach, delivering projects and activities across all functions not restricted to, but based around, their work location. They work closely with the HR Managers ensuring activities are delivered with excellence every time.

You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have knowledge of employment law and relevant updates.

Primary Responsibilities

Deliver projects as defined by HR Solutions Leadership Team

* Working to improve or define HR approaches, review & improve our approach to grievance management, review exit interview material and bring insights
* Where a need is defined, support during peak activities such as people process annual items
* Delivering organisational change/restructure, headcount reduction review, reviewing functional capability, L&D programme roll out
* Lead some factory HR projects & initiatives e.g. plan efficiency, team leader induction

Employee Relations

* Manage performance issues, grievances/failures-to-agree/disciplinary/compliance investigations and hearings ensuring fairness and consistency and drive up performance levels
* Monitor sickness absence and manage cases to deliver the best outcome for the employee and the business
* Prepare responses for tribunals and other legal processes
* Build and maintain up-to-date knowledge & understanding of local collective agreements and apply effectively within HR policy & process
* Maintain good day to day relations with union representatives and manage the relationship effectively through management of all cases (grievances/failures-to-agree/disciplinary /compliance)

Line Manager Support: Separations, Leaves of Absence, Absence Management and Employee Relations

* Guide line managers on policies and procedures for the above HR Processes
* Coach line managers on carrying out these procedures to ensure fairness and consistency
* Coach line managers on high quality delivery to enhance motivation in line, and coach on preventive actions for processes that deal with negative outcomes

Process/Employment Law Champion

* Own one of several HR Process/Employment Law Areas for the whole UK raise questions and concerns when faced with, or you learn of, an ethical or compliance issue; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.
