HR Advisor

My client a leading energy provider in the UK currently has an urgent requirement for a HR Advisor. As a HR advisor you shall be the first point of contact for employees and managers requiring advice relating to employment matters, with the aim of resolving on first contact. Responses may be required on terms and conditions, employment polices and processes and completion of forms etc.

The successful candidate shall be required to provide a pragmatic, tailored and business focused advice on employment enquiries through an operational understanding of a designated business area, including current and future plans and associated employment challenges, specific terms and conditions and working practices.

Required Skills:

- Graduate member of the CIPD or equivalent professional experience.
- Broad and robust knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully coaching managers to achieve successful resolution of the full range of employment issues including discipline, grievance, poor performance, attendance etc.
- Developed listening and questioning skills with a strong ability to translate complex legislative and policy situations into clear and comprehensible responses and actions.
- Able to influence and persuade managers to take appropriate actions that minimise risk
- Able to adapt style to different employment settings
- Able to write succinct and detailed file notes, e-mails and documentation, with a good understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and on own initiative
