HR Adviser

Up to six months. To start ASAP and definitely before Christmas/New Year Break.
Essential experience in disciplinary and grievance cases, as well as management of sickness absence. CIPD qualification/s desirable, but experience more important.

You should match the following criteria:

* Thorough understanding of the council's HR policies, procedures and best practice in employee relations and capable of coaching others in this area
* Thorough understanding of employment legislation and ability to apply it in order to achieve the successful resolution of employment issues in the workplace
* Experience of individual and collective trade union consultation
* CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification
* Able to travel if required
