HR ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

NEWCASTLE

6 - 12 MONTHS CONTRACT

Our client already has a multi-billion pound turnover and market-leading divisions in professional services, construction, support services and infrastructure investments - and determined to become a truly world-class business. They will achieve this not only via organic growth in our operating companies but by exploiting unique integrated capabilities to the full. That's where you come in. Their Customer Service Centre in Newcastle pools knowledge and expertise across the Group, whilst increasing standardisation, realising efficiency savings and generating substantial revenues through delivering shared services to internal and external customers.

Their next objective is to create an IT Shared Services organisation to deliver commodity IT services to 17000 users across the UK Operating companies.

THEY CURRENTLY REQUIRE AN EXPERIENCED HR ADMINISTRATION MANAGER ON A 6 - 12 MONTHS CONTRACT TO START ASAP.

THE ROLE IS BASED ON SITE IN NEWCASTLE AND ALSO REQUIRES EXTENSIVE TRAVEL UP TO 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK TO VARIOUS LOCATIONS AROUND THE UK.

Role Purpose
To manage the business as usual administration team ensuring, appropriate resource is in place to respond to fluctuating service demands and the delivery of high quality "right first time" administration.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Lead, manage and develop the HR Administration team to ensure all activities are responded to and resourced in line with business needs - understand service demands and trends to manage capacity
- Drive "right first time" philosophy and approach in order to minimise re-work required
- Undergo regular service reviews to ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion, and solutions implemented to ensure continuous improvements. Ensure the desired inputs to process/service are agreed to enable quality service provision
- Plan capacity according to calendar of events, projects and BAU workload - being innovative in terms of potential solutions - working hours, etc
- Ensure HR Administration complies with all HR policies and process
- Ensure effective knowledge sharing on best practice takes place across the team

PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

- HAS PREVIOUSLY LED, MANAGED AND DEVELOPED A LARGE SHARED SERVICES ADMINISTRATION TEAM including HR and L&D administrators and being measured via SLA's
- Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks
- Experience using Oracle database/HRIS and its administrative and self-service processes
- Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent
