BACKGROUND:

My client is a Brussels based international bank, now wishing to hire an additional resource for their HR/Payroll team.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

Ensure accurate and timely processing (including data entry and processing complex transactions) of the Belgian payroll, in close cooperation with the local payroll teams and/or local payroll providers.
Provide support where needed in the preparation, control and finalization of the monthly payroll and the annual calculations (eg. single and double holiday pay, 13th month, bonuses, R&D, eco, sport and culture cheques etc), staff- leavers' calculation and launching interfaces between different systems.
Act as second line support to respond to questions/queries related to payroll and time
Process the required reporting, both internal and statutory reporting related to Payroll.
Ensure HR processes and procedures are up-to-date, with an ongoing focus on continuous improvement;
Provide support and perform specific activities related to the IAU (International Assignment Unit);
Support the implementation of the bank's new HR system (Fusion or similar), the new interfaces with the payroll and the time management system (Chronogestor or similar) during the testing, parallel run and post go-live period. This includes data input in the HR systems for HR admin and Payroll teams, quality checks, controls and validations.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

You should have worked at least one year in a similar environment: HR, Office Admin, Accounts or Payroll, etc.
