HPC Support Technician

Job Title: HPC Support Technician/Development
Location: Wilmslow
Rate: £320 per day (could be negotiable)
Job Type: 6-8 month contract

A major Client of ours requires a Support Technician as part of their Global R&D Information RDI Scientific HPC support service.

The Scientific HPC service is designed to meet fast-paced demands that allow RDI to translate the immense and increasing amounts of data for the R&D scientific community. The Scientific HPC service delivers a stable and reliable global HPC environment, is delivered in close collaboration with the R&D scientists and is flexible in day to day operations.

The key skills you will require are: LAMP stack expertise (Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP, PERL, Python) along with UNIX and LINUX and JAVA

You must have excellent communication skills, experience within a research-based scientific computing environment. experience of administration of large-scale cluster and server computing and related software eg. xCAT, SGE, Puppet and programming and scripting skills.
