HP - UX SYSTEMS ENGINEER - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
Languages: ENGLISH, FRENCH and/or DUTCH.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 4 years experience in a similar function.
- Technical knowledge required:
- Linux Red Hat 6 and 7
- HPUX
- HPUX Virtualization
- HPUX VSP
- HPUX vPars
- Serviceguard
- SD2 & Itanium hardware (includes firmware management)
- Ignite/UX - Backups/Recovery, software packaging & deployment
- Scripting
- Good control of Ethernet/IP Networks
- Technical knowledge constituting an asset:
- Ansible
- Docker
- Python, Ruby
- Knowledge of the markup Mediawiki
- Any certification is an asset
- You know ITIL and make sure your work is done according to its processes
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
- You will work with Red Hat 6 and 7 Linux systems, and you will be the reference person in HPUX.
- You'll be part of a team of highly skilled people in Linux, AIX, Solaris and HPUX.
- You will also have to interact with SAN specialists, network, backup, DB, Middleware, presales.
- Your responsibilities include:
- Be the referent/expert of the "HPUX" competency area (offers, new projects, ongoing projects, incidents, change requests, architecture)
- Deal with Level 1, 2 and 3 incidents.
- Participate in the hotlines (8h to 17h) of the team who are rolling.
- Participation in night guards in a general rotation of the team.
- Propose ideas for improving the existing stock, and implement them (continuous improvement).
- Maintain system documentation
