SALARY £21,600 - £24,000 + CAR ALLOWANCE + BENEFITS

A fantastic opportunity now exists to join our ambitious and progressive organisation. Working as a Housing Plus Coordinator on an initial 12 month fixed term contract to provide an enhanced, proactive and community focused housing management service within identified sheltered housing schemes across the Berkshire region.

You will work with our customers and other stakeholders to facilitate the development of strong vibrant communities where people want to live. To work closely with the support services to ensure that older and vulnerable residents are able to maximise their independence and maintain their tenancies

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Provide support and advice to residents in relation to issues concerning their tenancies in accordance with Sovereign's policies and procedures. This would include the management of low level ASB.
- Contribute to the lettings process by carrying out viewings, pre-tenancy assessments, sign-ups and follow up visits to residents.
- To work with and build effective partnerships with relevant voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure that all residents are able to access the services they need to maintain their independent lifestyles and tenancies.
- Be aware of services within the locality which may be of benefit to the scheme.
- Promote social activities on and between schemes and encourage the wider community to use facilities provided at schemes.
- Work with residents and community groups to enhance the long-term development of the scheme. This may include organisation of and participation at meetings and open days, special events and community activities.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Candidates must have experience within similar Housing role ideally from a Housing Association or Local Authority background along with experience of Sheltered Housing Schemes.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential along with IT skills and understanding the needs of vulnerable adults.
- Current Full driving license is also required
- PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE SCHEME LOCATIONS ACROSS THE WHOLE OF THE BERKSHIRE REGION FLEXIBILITY TO TRAVEL TO THESE LOCATIONS IS ESSENTIAL.
