Role: Housing Client Services Manager

Location: London

Daily rate: £205

Duration: 3months

To manage a team of Housing Client Services officers in delivering a robust, efficient and highly customer focused service to residents of Hounslow with a housing need. Ensuring that the service is focussed on prevention while providing effective and targeted support, advice and assistance.

To support the Head of Housing Client Services in delivering the Housing Transformation Plan and objectives.

Corporate
1. To work with Regeneration, Economic Development and Environment Heads of Services and Managers, and where appropriate other Departments to ensure services are integrated at the point of delivery and to identify new opportunities for business efficiencies.

2. To support organisational change ensuring the appropriate systems of performance and development, communications, equality measures, monitoring and review are in place.

3. To work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams to enable the breaking down of departmental and inter-departmental barriers and encourage the concept of both internal and external partnership working.

4. To promote a philosophy of putting service user needs first at every opportunity and to put in place management arrangements that work to action this.

5. To work with key stakeholders, local residents and the voluntary sector in improving service quality and promoting creative and innovative ways of tackling local problems, ensuring services are developed which meet the needs of our community and are accessible to all users.

6. To oppose and where possible eradicate all forms of discrimination, making a positive contribution to managing diversity, both as an employer and service provider.

7. To raise performance in Hounslow by contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

8. To promote a positive image of Hounslow and represent the Council at local and national level, attending and presenting at such conferences, seminars and working parties as may be required.

9. To provide professional advice to Councillors and other officers on relevant areas of service delivery, ensuring compliance with the Council's standing orders.

10. To take active steps to contribute to the achievement of all of the Council's priorities.

11. To maintain business continuity and emergency response capabilities within the division/directorate and respond to emergency situations when required to do so.

12. To assist in the conduct of Elections when required to do so.
