HISTOTECHNOLOGIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in King of Prussia, PA.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Performs the technical conduct of studies in accordance with the study protocol and all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) guidelines, and departmental Standard Operating Procedures such as: Necropsy. Organ weights, macroscopic observations, tissue trimming and embedding, microtomy, routine slide preparation and staining, histology quality control, special staining techniques
- Coordinate scheduling of study activities by study lead Histotechnologist; execute core experimental methods and/or laboratory techniques.
- Responsible for the aspects of the study for which directly involved including study set up and data collection
- Performs functions using equipment, computer systems and instrumentation in accordance with applicable policies
- Perform studies in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs; 21 CFR Part 58) only when the activities require GLP regulations.
- Ensure timely communication to the Study Director of study related events and/or deviations
- Ensure scientific data has been reviewed for accuracy and quality
- Maintain equipment, supplies and reagents in accordance with applicable GSK policies
- May train/mentor technical staff on laboratory procedures
- Perform electronic archiving of study data
- Maintain a safe work environment consistent with local Environmental Health & Safety policies
- Execute discipline specific core experimental methods and or laboratory techniques with minimal to no supervision
- Identify and troubleshoot problems in the execution of experimental procedures with minimal to no supervision.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Must have minimum of A.A.S. degree, a B.S. degree in a laboratory science equivalent.
- Eight (8) or more years of work experience is required.
