A global High Frequency/Prop Trading House is looking to hire an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong Linux and Networking skills to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisations core infrastructure and trading systems. This engineer will be a key member of the rapidly growing trading technology team and this is a new role as a result of continued global success and expansion.

The engineer's core responsibilities will be around Low Latency Network architecture, design, maintenance and Linux performance/monitoring and associated projects.

Ideal skill set:
* Networking - Architecture/Design CCNP/CCIE
* Networking - Firewalls / VPNS / VOIP and Troubleshooting
* Linux - Low Latency Performance, Servers and Administration
* Scripting/Automation - e.g Python, Perl, Shell etc
* Projects and Vendor Management
* Technology Research
* Trading Hardware and Software Support
* Other desirables include: Call Manager / Databases / SQL / Cisco IP

The majority of the team are very well educated and a strong academic record is preferable. This is a unique opportunity in a highly meteoritic organisation for a highly technical infrastructure professional and therefore this role will suit a technology driven engineer with prior HFT/Low Latency infrastructure experience who is hungry for a challenge and enjoys working in a relaxed working environment. The Linux and Network engineer will be involved in multiple projects, delivering business critical systems and driving technology innovation and research, in order to achieve optimal performance of the trading systems infrastructure.
