Job Description:

The main responsibility for this position will be to act as the general helpdesk at SunEdison University, taking calls from internal and external customers and troubleshoot issues with not only the software, but also any problems that arise with.

Other responsibility will be to attend some tasks regarding users administration and reporting using Moodle, so the agent must be proficient in Moodle or be familiar with platform administration and reporting tools.

Providing documentation and training materials in existing training applications, testing system upgrades and business reports relevant to the company will also be necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Act as help desk for our custom training platform based on Moodle.
- First/Second level helpdesk and support for internal and external clients.
- Handling issues and requests received via telephone, email or Help Desk application.
- Detect and analyze infrastructure problems.
- Resolve software issues that do not involve coding.
- Providing additional help to vendor's Service Desk team to resolve customer issues as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
- Create new reports/modify existing reports.
- Perform UAT, parallel testing, and regression testing.
- Communicating and escalating critical service failures.
- Assisting in building up the knowledge base for service operation.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Experience in a Service Desk or Application Support role.
- Experience with Moodle.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent technical background.
- Good knowledge of user account administration.
- Knowledge of SQL and database structures.
- Working knowledge on Web Service development.
- Good planning and management skills.
- Analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to see the broad picture.
- Rigor in data management, analysis and preparing documentation.
- Identify issues and alert engagement leader in timely manner.
- Experience working in a global environment with offshore/outsourced resources across multiple time-zones.
- Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative in a pressure environment.
