Helpdesk/Service Desk/Support Desk - Administrator - Reading Town Centre

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established company located in Reading town centre for a Helpdesk Administrator. You will be joining a very busy team who are responsible for fielding a high volume of calls and emails to the support teams each day.

As Helpdesk Administrator you will be the first point of contact for all staff, customers and vendors into IT Support, you will record all IT incidents onto the system, then pass the incidents on to the relevant 2nd/3rd line support teams. This is not a technical role and you will not be involved in resolving the queries.

As the first point of contact you will be responsible for managing the email and telephone queries and keeping employees updated with their query resolution.
You will be required to update customers/staff with fault progress and timescales according to SLAs.

Other responsibilities will include:
- Logging of faults, chasing relevant support teams to achieve resolutions
- Creating reports on a weekly basis

In order to be successful in your application, we are looking for someone with the following skill set:
- Accurate data entry - logging of faults
- Excellent clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confident Excel user - ideally proficient in VLookups
- Experienced in the use of fault management systems and procedures (desired)

Our client are not necessarily looking for someone who has worked in a similar role, however this is a fast paced and very busy team so working in a high call/email volume role would be preferred, also strong Excel is required.

Please note, this is NOT a technical position, you will not be involved in any fault resolution or IT Support, you will be providing assistance to the support teams by being the first point of contact for all calls and emails.
