JOB DUTIES:

-Administer computer accounts and passwords.
-Analyzes situations and data requirements
-Answers IT Support Center phone calls
-Supports IT-endorsed hardware and software applications

REQUEST NOTES:

*LOCAL ONLY

*FULL TIME IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN.

*40hrs./week, 8 Hour shifts M-F. Shift start time will be 8:00 AM for the first 8 weeks of onboarding.

*Eventual start time to be set later.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

*Excellent verbal communications skills

. Windows 7 and office 2010

. Outlook

. Mobile handheld Devices: iPhone, BlackBerry, Android

*UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE REQUIRED.

*HM will consider recent college grads.

*Start ASAP pending cleared screens.

*Shift 8am to 5:00 PM for the first 8 weeks or so until training is done, then the permanent shift will be assigned.

*MUST HAVE A DEGREE AND 2-3 SOLID YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

DESCRIPTION:

*Resolve client tech issues

*Determine effective resolution of issues by troubleshooting & analysing computer system errors of moderate to difficult scope where analysis of situations or data require an in-depth evaluation

*Provide remote tech support for hardware (printers, desktop, laptop, drivers, monitors, and PDAs) & software (internally developed apps, productivity, computer OS systems, Internet apps, and various drivers)

*Interact with internal & external escalation resources to resolve complex tech issues

*Recommend current supported software apps & hardware appropriate to best meet requirements

*Acquire and maintain knowledge on newly purchased & existing supported desktop software, hardware,& systems

*Assist with testing of new or upgraded PC software & hardware releases as requested.

Required:

*Cert preferred in A+ Cert and/or any MS Certified Professional from the MCSE track

*1-3 years of experience in a Support Center or Call Center environment

*2-4 years of experience in an IT Support environment

SKILLS:

*Customer service, communication, problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting

*Team work and good prioritization skills

*Work logically under pressure, can work in a changing environment & deal successfully with stressful situations

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

*Experience with Windows XP, Windows 7, Outlook, remote management tools, remote dial-in, Active Directory administration, virtual private network

*Office productivity tools (2007 and 2010), web-based applications, TCP/IP

*Good sight, hearing, and speech

*Ability to use a keyboard and mouse

*Lifting moderate weights, less than 50 lbs.
