Help Desk Specialist Level I

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a LEVEL I HELP DESK/SUPPORT SPECIALIST to join our client in Sunnyvale, CA.

Job Overview
The IT Support Specialist I is, on a day-to-day basis, responsible for first line user support for all IT related issues, problems, and training. The IT Support Specialist I is also responsible for creating, and dispatching Work Orders to Tier I, Tier II and Tier III specialists using our help desk utility. Successful candidate will be able to cross train with our Tier II and III IT Support Specialists to learn additional skills and applications.

Job Responsibilities:
- One (1) plus year of Help Desk Support for a mid-large size company.
- Responsible for first level calls from corporate and field based internal employees.
- Create and/or Dispatch work orders from the help desk application or phone calls from users.
- Escalate more complex issues to Tier II and Tier III specialists.
- Setup, terminate, and administer user accounts in Active Directory, and all other applications as needed.
- Prepare New Hire equipment and logins.
- Research and other projects.

Job Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Information Technology.
- Must be able to work independently and self-directed, as well as, within a team.
- Must have strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Should be flexible and able to complete projects outside normal daily duties as needed.

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Previous experience in a help desk environment preferred.
