Hedis Registered Nurses (RNs) Job

Yoh has multiple contract opportunities for HEDIS REGISTERED NURSES (RNS) to join our client in San Mateo County, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking qualified Registered Nurses to work as HEDIS Nurses in a field-based setting. This is a contract position scheduled to last from February 2014 to May 2014.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform medical records abstraction in support of annual The Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS).
- Apply structured auditing criteria to medical records to determine compliance with standards of the EAS.
- Maintain productivity level as determined by the Quality Improvement Manager and Medical Director.
- Perform duties to ensure HEDIS data accuracy and reporting, including investigation, auditing, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives in the service and clinical areas.
- Enter measure specific or testing information to a database and/or organizing and tracking records.
- Coordinate, complete, and update management on clinical quality metrics and HEDIS processes and results.
- Candidates will be expected to perform tasks at the provider sites, which will necessitate travel to assigned locations in San Mateo County.

Job Qualifications:

- Valid California RN license.
- Minimum one (1) years of experience in HEDIS, chart abstraction, or chart review.
- Knowledge of EMR, HER, and medical records.
- Working knowledge of the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) HEDIS requirements preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT coding is preferred.
- Candidates must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, be accurate in data entry and have good communication skills.
- Must have access to reliable transportation.
