Hedgefund Application Support Analyst

I am currently recruiting for a leading hedgefund based in Central London who is looking to hire a permanent application support analyst. This is a truly fantastic opportunity to join their front office IT teams, who have some extremely bright and talented Support Analysts and Developers. To give you some background on the team, it is an extremely small, but skilled team. Many of their employees have come from either strong development backgrounds or application support, and are extremely technical in Unix, Scripting (this role will involve small time development, so scripting skills is a must) and SQL. Once in this role, you will be learning from the whole team, gaining further technical skills and also great exposure to the front office trading environment. The team itself sit on the trade floor and you will be interacting on a daily basis with the senior traders, senior members of the IT team and also extremely senior members of the business team, so you need to be confident and have the drive to learn from those around you, proactively. In summary, you need to have strong technical skills in: - Unix - Scripting skills (PERL, Bash or PowerShell etc) - SQL It would also be highly beneficial to have some experience with FIX protocol. For this role, they are offering a highly competitive salary which will reflect your experience, but can stretch up to £80k. They also offer an extremely good bonus scheme.
