Hedge Fund - 1st/2nd Line Support £300/day

My client, a prestigious Hedge-Fund / Asset Manager is looking for a contractor to join their team for a 3 month contract, paying up to £300/day.

LOCATION

RESPONSIBILITIES
* 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support of a diverse technical infrastructure
* Network Operations monitoring
* Document technical procedures / layouts and operating instructions
* Executive support
* Vendor Management

SKILLS
* Wintel: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft back office platforms.
This candidate will need to have experience managing complex environments built on Windows and Active Directory infrastructure including Exchange. The right candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including its dependence on DNS, FSMO Roles, Global Catalogs, Kerberos authentication, and group policies. Knowledge of Exchange should include mail routing and delivery troubleshooting, full text indexing, virus scanning, disaster recovery options, public folder architectures and replication, and performance tuning. A strong understanding of the windows (XP/20xx/7) platform and internals is also required, including knowledge of the registry, security policies, software installation and distribution, CIFS/DFS/FRS, File and share permissioning. Windows Scripting and programming experience is highly desired.

Networking
A solid understanding of networking (switching/routing/subnetting) in a TCP/IP-based environment is required. The candidate will have experience performing basic administrative tasks on cisco routing / switching equipment and be able to troubleshoot network related issues.

Telephony
Familiarity using Avaya VoIP phone and call managers to administer and deploy user handsets

Linux
The candidate will have knowledge and proven experience in Linux fundamentals and is able to perform troubleshooting and administration tasks.

Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) - Proven experience managing a BES infrastructure including handsets and vendor management.

Experience in creating and maintaining detailed documentation as part of a shared repository
