A large retail bank is looking for a Hedge Accountant to work in their Treasury on a contract basis. The treasury is about to undergo a serious degree of change both in terms of their processes and their systems which means that there is a large quantity of work to be done both in a BAU sense and in the various projects that will be going ahead.

You will initially get involved in the BAU hedge reporting on a number of banking products, ie, FX, Fixed Income, bonds etc. You will therefore need an excellent understanding of the reporting standards such as IFRS 7 and IAS 39 (must have) alongside hands on reporting experience ideally within a treasury environment.

Beyond the BAU reporting you will be expected to analyze and constantly enhance and improve the various processes that you use on a daily basis using the experience you will have gained in your previous roles.

Some experience of project work (processes or systems) will be useful as there will be a large amount of change over the coming years and the client would benefit greatly from highly skilled resources to help drive the change in an efficient way.
