Healthcare Financial Analyst - 6 Month Contract

FINANCIAL ANALYST

DESCRIPTION:

1) Perform targeted patient account audits, data collection and analysis, and prepare summaries
2) Perform Batch QA process to ensure batch accuracy and facilitate month-end SOX reporting
3) Support department supervisors to coordinate staff accountability Matrix and learning action plan
4) Assist management team with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of operational issues
5) Provide assistance with file reconciliations as needed

WHAT I AM REALLY LOOKING FOR IS AN EXPERIENCED REVENUE CYCLE PROFESSIONAL WITH A BUSINESS OFFICE BACKGROUND, DEMONSTRATED SUPERIOR ANALYTICAL SKILLS, ADAPTABLE TO SITUATIONS, A TEAM PLAYER, WILLING TO LEARN AND PROVIDE THEIR INSIGHTS AND IDEAS TO IMPROVE CURRENT PROCESSES.

REQUIREMENTS:

*Healthcare experience not required but strongly preferred ( At least 5 years of healthcare experience in a financial operations role, preferably in PFS or revenue cycle.)

*Need solid analytical skills:
1) Working knowledge of patient accounting/patient financial services/revenue cycle
2) Strong analytical skills
3) Ability to summarize and communicate findings to management team
4) Ability to document workflows and assist with process improvement efforts

*Working knowledge of patient accounting systems, preferably EPIC.
*Experience with payment posting, collections or billing. 
*Bachelors degree required.
