Healthcare Benefits Assistant Analyst

Job Description:
-Issues pre-service/concurrent notice of non-coverages(NONC) to members in accordance to regulations/EOC
-Verifies membership status
-Strong customer service skills ability to answer and make phone calls requesting and/or providing information to stake holders
-Works with different systems to create NONC
-Provides assistance to peers and RN consultants to meet regulatory requirements
-Saves and compile documents in the shared drive
-Assist/work with RUC Analyst to create NONCs
-"Gatekeep": sorts and assigns cases to RNs and Analysts
-Answer telephone
-Compile and Save data

Required skills:
-Proficient with internal system- such as Health connect/Tapestry, DOTS (DME), Right fax; Foundations
-Familiar with Medical terminology
-Working Knowledge with PC applications
-Ability to MULTITASK
-Excellent verbal and written skills
-Health Plan/UM experience- familiar with UM denial letters/HP benefits
-Working Knowledge of Word/Adobe/Excel
-High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred
