Will consider a higher level candidate - APPLICATION Analyst III

Our client is in need of someone with a production SUPPORT background to set up Servers (SQL, Oracle, WINDOWS), SUPPORT applications, perform daily tuning, maintenance updates, and upgrades. This person will be responsible for supporting internal personnel. This is not a DBA or Desktop SUPPORT role. This will be ensuring solutions fit into the enterprise. Need good analysis skills, as well as documentation skills to be able to explain how everything works. This position will SUPPORT an ICU APPLICATION. Healthcare experience highly desired.  Experience with HL7, HIPPA, Project Management, APPLICATION SUPPORT and infrastructure highly desired.

Position Summary    
Designs, builds and supports applications to meet defined business requirements as part of an APPLICATION specific SUPPORT team working closely with end users. Participate and lead all phases of the development life cycle including planning, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and SUPPORT, Responsible for completely understanding the APPLICATION including designing, building, and configuring the APPLICATION. May be responsible for more than one APPLICATION. Manage and lead implementation projects. Prepare and execute detailed documentation, use cases, test plans and manage error logs. Participates in the testing process and certification of software. Works closely with vendors when appropriate. Familiar with and adheres to standard concepts, practices, and procedures, including quality control, within the IS department. Performs other related duties as required.

Responsibilities
Reviews and analyzes APPLICATION systems including testing, debugging and installing to SUPPORT Client Server software applications.
Independently isolates and troubleshoots problems across the spectrum of APPLICATION delivery.
Routinely uses experience in working with multiple operating systems and programs in multiple Scripting languages.
Tunes end user reports for performance efficiency.
May SUPPORT multiple applications.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the IS department including quality control and backup and recovery.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Performs most tasks with minimal direction from management.
Provides production SUPPORT in a 7x24 tier 1 environment.

Required Skills:
3 + years of WINDOWS OS and Peripheral SUPPORT/troubleshooting.  Need solid Active Directory skills
Healthcare experience, HL7 interfaces and HIPPA experience
2 + years supporting multi-tiered applications in a large enterprise environment
2 + years supporting production SQL Server and/or Oracle databases (should include server builds & RDBMS installs, disaster recovery, redundancy, fail over) including performance tuning, basic to intermediate knowledge of written/applied SQL, troubleshooting
2+ years supporting and troubleshooting network connectivity in a large enterprise environment
2 + years of customer service role
1-2 years of Citrix experience (have a small Citrix farm that may need to be integrated into a larger farm)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience creating technical documentation
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience handling multiple and fast changing priorities smoothly and professionally
Ability to discuss technical information with people of all experience levels clearly and concisely
Must have a positive attitude, enjoy challenges, and be able to demonstrate personal initiative

Qualification Requirements:

Education: Associate's degree in computer science or related field.

Experience: Two years of experience in providing APPLICATION level SUPPORT and analysis OR four years of experience in providing APPLICATION level SUPPORT and analysis without a degree.
