Health, Safety, Quality & Environment Manager

Our Major Global Client is looking for a Health, Safety, Quality & Environment Manager to join their team on a 6 month contracted basis. As the company is forever expanding there is always a possibility of extension on this.

They are looking for someone to start ASAP and are offering very competitive rates of hourly pay of up to £28.46. There will be requirement of 5% travel between sites.

Working hours are 08:30 til 17:00, 37.5 hours per week. The site has 4 shifts, including nights and weekends, and therefore you may be required to work different hours as and when required.

1. Position Purpose Statement

The EHS and QFS Manager has overall responsibility for compliance to existing and future standards for EHS and Quality for Minworth Distribution Centre. This role will be based in Minworth but it is expected that 1-2 days per month may be spent at other DCs or Bournville carrying out benchmarking and operational planning. Minworth sends and receives around seven hundred thousand pallets a year and has an overall budget of ten million pounds. The role is primarily accountable for ensuring the Minworth Distribution is compliant against all relevant corporate and legislative standards and has overall responsibility for ensuring any new standards are understood and implemented. The role is also accountable for the improvement and development of the compliance culture and agenda across site with regard to EHS AND QFS. The EHS AND QFS manager is a critical element of the Minworth on-site leadership team and reports into the Minworth General Manager.

NEBOSH Required Preferred Working towards DIPOSH or equivalent Required separate qualifications in CDM regs, Fire Regs, Electricity Required. Technician Member IOSH Required Formal Training Qualification Required Preferred Degree or equivalent in environmental discipline or working towards and Environmental Management Qualification (Certificate).

Previous experience in EHS AND QFS discipline within a food-manufacturing/warehousing/FMCG environment
Required Demonstrable H&S lead and implementation experience within last 3 years in distribution/manufacturing
