Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager Job

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in HOUSTON, TX.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Five (5) years of HSE experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Refining, oil & gas industry experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager will develop, implement and manage HSE policies, plans, procedures and processes to ensure the effective management of hazard identification, assessment of risk and implementation of controls.
- Primary provider of HSE support and expertise to three important organizations within Company.
- Approximately 50% travel (some may be international), including one week per month in Roanoke, VA required.
- Develop, implement and manage HSE policies, plans, and procedures to ensure the effective management of hazard identification, assessment of risk and implementation of controls.
- Assist with risk assessment during the design phase of products (including PSM), as well as risk assessment for tasks/activities being conducted by Company personnel.
- Work with local/site management to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements, as well as client/site requirements, and allocate resources to address HSE issues.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or an associated field is required. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience within a manufacturing and/or construction environment is required.
- Knowledge of and experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) required.
- Experience with offshore, refining, gas processing chemical plants and/or related experience required.
- Demonstrate knowledge of HSE legislation and its implementation.
- Must be knowledgeable with OSHA regulations for general industry as identified in 29 CFR Part 1910, have general knowledge of OS HA regulations for the construction industry as identified in 29 CFR Part 1926, and be familiar with applicable environmental regulations such as those identified in 40 CFR.
- Must be competent in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Good written and verbal communication.
