The Role:

The Global Patient Outcomes Scientist provides scientific expertise and effective project oversight to ensure the successful fulfillment of the patient outcomes research agenda to deliver better patient outcomes that are valued by payers and providers. Projects will focus on osteoporosis and men's health disease area and will span the commercialization life cycle of associated products. Additional projects may focus on key healthcare policy issues that impact patient outcomes. The Scientist develops and ensures that appropriate patient outcomes research strategies for Europe, Australia and Canada are in place to support Pricing, Reimbursement and Access activities for Client products. The Scientist is responsible for the conduct, quality, and integrity of patient outcomes studies and scientific disclosures resulting from this research demonstrates and applies in-depth knowledge, understanding, and evaluation of clinical, economic, and/or patient reported outcomes methodologies. The Scientist effectively communicates patient outcomes findings and concepts to internal and external business partners and takes a leadership role in the dissemination of patient outcomes research findings to the scientific community. In addition, the Scientist provides patient outcomes scientific leadership and effective teamwork in cross-functional initiatives.

The Candidate:

An ideal candidate would have an advanced degree in either public health, epidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, psychology, or statistics and relevant research experience. Ideally, the candidate has previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry supporting health technology assessments (HTA) in the UK or other HTA relevant European markets. The person should have convincing communication skills to work in a matrix organization and sufficient English language proficiency.
